OK,
I have been reading the bios and am beginning to feel guilty, so here it comes.
I
graduated in January, and was married to Jim (we still are married) on February
5, 1961. We recently celebrated our 40th anniversary with 45 friends and
relatives with a Caribbean cruise.
We
had three children. John is currently living in Colorado, soon to move to Texas
as he is getting married (again). John has gifted us with four wonderful
granddaughters.
Joanna
is living in Arizona, has two children, and has a very successful payroll
implementation company.
Jimmy
is still single and works for Allied Van Lines as an Executive mover.
Jim
worked in textiles and escape systems for the Navy. He recently retired and is
now enjoying his wood shop.
When
our children were old enough (meaning everyone was in school), I started
completing my college and working with McCabe School District, and then later IVC.
When Jim was transferred to China Lake, Ridgecrest CA, I became the Director of
Fiscal Services for the school district there. One of my first responsibilities
was the purchase of a computerized financial management system.
Three
years later, this led me to accepting the position of Director of Programming
Development and Support for Macro Educational Systems, later moving into
Marketing and Sales. Later Macro was purchased by NCS where I served as a
Senior Sales Representative.
Three
years ago, I moved to a new software company, NCompass Systems, Inc., of Old
Town San Diego. What fun to be with a new startup company. We work, we laugh,
we have a great time together. During these catastrophic times for high tech
companies, it helps to laugh -- who knows what will happen next?
I
am looking forward to seeing everyone in October. This will be my first
reunion.
