Hi Jan,

What a neat surprise to see where my e-mail went. I was flooded with memories. Anyway, let me try to remember the past 40 years. As most everyone knows, I had wanted to be a nurse since I was 5 years old. Well - I am! And have been since l967. I went to SDSC. Besides studying nursing, I got married and along came Randy while I was still in school. He is now living in Louisville, KY and guess what? He's a nurse - specifically a flight nurse. He has 2 of my grandchildren--Laura and Andrew.

In l969, we moved to Orange, CA. The kid's dad worked for a shoe company. I changed hospitals and in l970, Robin arrived. She now lives in Minnesota, works fulltime and goes to law school.

In 1971, the kid's dad was transferred to St. Louis MO. I started work at St. Joseph Hospital in St. Charles MO. and I'm still there. I work in the OB-GYN department taking care of new moms, babies and ladies having GYN surgery. In l974, Rodney arrived. He now lives 5 minutes away and has my other grandbaby, Mary Isabel. He spent 4 years in the Army after ROTC in college. Now he works for his father-in-law as an accountant.

From 1978 until 1983, I was a single mom. But in l982, I met my Jerry at church. What a guy! We married in July '83 and have been having a ball since. He has 4 grown kids and 12 grandkids. His kids live from South Carolina to California, so we have good reason to travel. We do enjoy traveling. We've been to Europe twice. I also got to go to the south of France and Italy with my daughter a couple years ago--what fun.

I think about retiring, but would miss the people I work with. Jerry and I did build a new home 2 years ago, and I'm still decorating. My hobbies are just about anything to do with sewing. I love to quilt, sew, crochet, counted cross-stitch. There’s always a project or two in progress. My sister, Sidney, and I made a 50th anniversary quilt for Mom and Dad in 1992. She entered it in a show in Dallas and we won first place. Must have been some sentimental judges.

Well, I'm going to put in for October vacation, so I can come to the reunion. Love to read the bios of the gang. Thanks! We'll keep in touch.
